What is a word you feel that too many people use?
Boujee (adj.) Slang for bourgeois, pronounced boogee, is used in a positive light to refer to a person who lives a high-class luxurious life and has the wealth and ability to maintain it longterm.
Bougie (adj.), pronounced boozhee, refers to a materialistic, fake person who seeks to present an image of himself to the world and hide his reality. He (or she) spends and lives well above what he can afford or maintain longterm. This word is used or misused to hurt and label too often. People think they have a right to judge others. So often, all that is known is harmful gossip.
Imagine, if all harmful gossip were erased from world conversation. People could only say truthful words or uplifting comments based in fact. We would need to learn a new, better, more positive way to talk, and to learn to talk about each other as we really are. If we learn to say about ourselves and others what God says about us, maybe this positive truth talking wouldn’t be a hard habit to make.
