Nice Neighbors ❤

What makes a good neighbor?

Nice neighbors,  considerate ones, do not live self-centered lives. They think about how  their actions will affect the community. For example, even if it is fun, nice neighbors wouldn’t race motorcycles up and down the street at all hours of the night. They wouldn’t peek between bedroom curtains in the dark and gossip about the view so couples wouldn’t need to wait for blue northers or flash floods to be romantic. Nice parent neighbors wouldn’t send their teens stalking to case houses so neighborhood stolen stuff shows up in their yard or on Facebook Marketplace. Nice neighbor grandpas wouldn’t lean ladders against fences looking through bathroom glass at what could get them into that forever kind of trouble. Nice neighbors wouldn’t ever make methamphetamine in the shared alley dumpster, ruin it, and stink up the block.

Decent neighbors would respect those who serve us and would never allow dogs to repeatedly bite and chase mail ladies, or cause those ladies to feel afraid to deliver to our street. Mail ladies’ husbands wouldn’t need to follow mail trucks and call Animal Control, if neighbors were considerate.

I truly love my nice neighbors who don’t do these things. Most of them seem like family, the way we share with, look out for, and care about each other. I value their friendship and want to take good care of it.
