How much would you pay to go to the moon?
There’s no fall on the moon. I would rather stay on the ground and spend that Moon Money on a fun trip north to Michigan. I would visit Mackinac Island’s carless quiet, Petosky Highway 119’s Tunnel of Trees, stunning Pictured Rocks National Park Lakeshore, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness Hiking Trails, the Bond Falls giant, the UP’s Tehquamenon Falls, all the lighthouses, Brockway Mountain Drive at Lake Superior, Bay City’s observation towers at sunset, Kitch-iti-kipi Big Spring in Manistique, Michigan’s little Bavaria called Frankenmuth, Holland, Isle Royale National Park, Saugatuck, and Copper Harbor.
I would take in the Gilmore car museum at Hickory Corners and learn to drive a Model T at the changing of the seasons because I could. Then, I would see everything again on my travel list in snow, just to take in God’s handiwork. Before I return home, I would visit Christmas, Michigan, in the Upper Penninsula in Au Train Township to mail letters to my grandsons from the post office and to see Santa’s Workshop. I would enjoy this trip so much more than a trip to the moon. I would also have leftover Moon Money for presents.
