Pink Genie

You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

I found a bottle of Pink perfume at the lake in the sand yesterday. Curious, I pushed the plunger to try the scent. A lady genie wearing a cotton candy colored silk robe in pink came forth from the bottle in a cotton ball-sized rosy poof of smoke. She told me that I had three wishes.

Wish number 1.  All women in my family could look in the mirror every day for the rest of time and really see themselves as God sees them.

God sees them as beautiful and righteous and perfect and forgiven and free and loved. I wish they could see what God sees.

Wish number 2.  To be completely healthy until it’s time to go to Heaven.

I want to play with my grandboys, to run with them, shop with them, explore the world with them, and talk with them at their weddings and the births of their boys.

Wish number 3.  To know a week in advance when family members will have material, survival needs and to have answers to their needs.

Family should never again have to worry about food, shelter, and clothing bills. However, who pays for those needs, not wants, remains secret forever. Secret keeping ensures that people don’t  continue to count on help and become lazy and dependent.

These are my wishes. Pink Genie says, “It is so,” and she disappears. I am left standing alone on the beach holding a bottle of perfume. I press the sprayer down again. Nothing happens. Did I imagine it all? We shall see, my lovely. We shall see.
