Share five things you’re good at.
I am good at making a dollar from a quarter. I like participating in fundraisers and helping friends, especially when I can bake. I enjoy making meals or baked treats out of very few ingredients that taste good. I’m able to make what some folks think is a week’s worth of groceries from the Food Bank last for two weeks plus.
I now have learned how to pray for people out loud to receive healing and help from God, and I am not afraid to do it anymore. I have seen Him answer too many times to be afraid.
I also am able to cheer up and give hope to anyone, even the saddest person who wishes to be dead. I have been there, and I know what hopeless feels like. I also know where to find a joy and hope so great that it fills every hole in my heart and soul.
I am fascinated by words. My favorite way to use them is to share a captivating story in print or in person.
I am comfortable around all types of people, any age, gender, race, economy class, age, ability, education… a person is a person. I will strike up a conversation with anyone who I meet to see who they are. Are they kind? I think, what if I am the only or the last person who speaks aloud to this person today? The world is so discouraging. We all need human acknowledgement and kindness.
