What is the greatest gift someone could give you?
I run on empty a lot. I’m the type of person who gives until I have nothing left physically, mentally, or emotionally, especially emotionally. I’m often blind to my need to recharge or refill my bucket until I collapse.
God built us to crave relationship with Him. I also crave human connection. My brain knows my Jesus is walking beside me wherever I go. I understand that His angels are all around me, guarding me from harm. Heaven hears my every word. Still, I need the living presence of someone with skin on, a true and caring friend, who will hug me when I need it and accept my hug in return. A hug is the greatest free gift someone could give me. Hugs reconnect me to my people. Hugs communicate support and understanding of my people without words. Hugs are a friend and family superpower. Hugs soothe and energize me. Hugs refill my emotional bucket. The superpower of hugs (support and understanding of my people) enables me to continue in my purpose, to give to others, when my physical or mental power is very low. Anyone who has ever hugged me, thank you so much.
