Put It On Pause

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

I deserve the same “best of me” that I give away to others each day. I pause to find comfort in people and pet hugs. Hugs refill my joy bucket. Hugs satisfy my deep need to belong on earth.

I see my best self in the mirror when I remember to look for what God sees in me.

To restore mental comfort, I remind myself to:

Breathe in – two, three, four

Hold – two, three, four

Breathe Out – two, three, four

Feel Peaceful – two, three, four

Physically, I walk away from my troubles while listening to positive gospel music. I put it on pause to thank God for what He has done for me, for His never-ending love, and for His protection.

I laugh when God is funny, working out my problems (working behind the scenes of this life quietly) in some way that I never guessed He would.

“Oooh, that was You, Father.” I understand and acknowledge even my small blessings. Am I perfect? No. There is only One who is perfect.

Keeping a close relationship with my Father, God is the best way to increase my comfort in every way in this world. He holds me and all I need in His hands.
